Just completed a frame nuts & bolts restoration to my very rare 1949 Excellsior Speedway MkII racing motorcycle. It also has a fresh 1949 4 stud J.A.P. 500cc Speedway engine built by the famous Alec Card. It has new Carello rod with matching Carello piston, Amal 27/013 dual float methonal carb, BTH Competition magneto. This Excellsior Speedway bike has the original alloy Dunlop racing rear wheel with Dunlop hand cut racing tyre. Custom Connolly leather seat with Martin J.A.P patch logo. This is 100% perfect and ready for any serious museum or private collection. Raced at the England vs Australia Test Match May 26th 1949 at Wembly Stadium.The original program is included. With the sale are various J.A.P. manuals Speedway programs and magazine article on this famous racer. With rumors of the new Speedway track going in at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, these Speedway bikes will be a good positive future investment.
